# Papercare: The AI Accountant for UK Accountancy Practices > Papercare is an AI Accountant for UK accountancy practices. It works inside the practice, reads the firm's own client data, reviews files the way a senior would, drafts client communication, answers UK tax questions with its sources shown, and never invents a number. It runs on a full cloud working papers platform. Detection and arithmetic run in code; the AI only explains what the code found, and every figure is verified against source data before it is shown. Papercare never files, posts or sends anything without the accountant. It is built inside a working UK practice by Shrineel Patel FCCA, with more than 30 real UK compliance jobs running through it every month before any feature reaches a customer. Papercare is UK only and UK deep: FRS 102 Section 1A, HMRC, Companies House, UK VAT schemes, s.455 and capital allowances.
